Get Involved

There are a number of ways you can get involved...

Financial Support

We are extremely grateful for every penny which is donated to the Arise project, whether a one-off donation or a more regular commitment. We ensure that all donations are used for the best possible benefit of the orphans and guardians supported by Arise.

Donations are made through the Kaniki Trust, a registered charity in the United Kingdom which exists to provide advice and support to the projects and to raise funds for the projects sustainability.

If you would like to make a one-off donation, or to arrange regular financial support for the work of Arise, please click on the link below.

If you are a UK taxpayer and would be happy for us to claim Gift Aid there is an option to allow this.

If you would like your donation to be used for a specific purpose then please email us at arisekaniki@gmail.com and let us know.

Child Sponsorship

It costs £25 per month to sponsor a child through Arise. This will enable an orphan or vulnerable child to attend Kapumpe Christian Primary School and will cover school fees, uniform, books and stationery. The sponsored child will be provided with porridge at breakfast time and a snack during the school day.

Your sponsored child will also be invited to attend the Arise weekly Kids’ Club, and their family or guardian will be visited and supported by Arise volunteers.

Each term you will receive an email newsletter to update you on Arise and Kapumpe. We will also send you a photograph and some information about your sponsor child, as well as their school report.

Scholarship Fund

We are setting up a scholarship fund to enable local young people who have been supported by Arise through school, to achieve their dream of attending college. Once those who have been supported by Arise reach college age, they will be eligible to apply for an Arise scholarship. They will be expected to complete an application form with details of what and where they wish to study, attend an Arise panel interview to discuss their suitability and commitment, and contribute a portion of the fees which is determined by their personal circumstances.

All monies donated to the scholarship fund will be put into a pot and the number of college students that Arise can support will be determined by the donations that are received. The money will be used towards course fees, accommodation, transport, books and equipment. Every year we will send a newsletter to everyone who has contributed to the scholarship fund with details of how the money has been used and information about some of the students who have been supported.

We welcome one-off donations or more regular giving to enable some of the local young people to attend college. Any amount that you can give is appreciated and will make a massive difference to the lives of the students and the local communities.

For more information on giving to the scholarship fund, please email us at arisekaniki@gmail.com

If you are a UK taxpayer and would be happy for us to claim Gift Aid, please email us and we will send you a form to complete.
